Royal Ottawa Golf Club

Nestled in age old golfing traditions combined with splendid surroundings, the Royal Ottawa Golf Club portrays the gentlemen’s golfing traditions only to be found at historical golf clubs. The Royal Ottawa Golf Club has a history of golfing that can be traced back as far as 1891. It is notably one of the oldest golfing establishments in Canada. This does not mean that you will play on an ancient golf course, but rather that you will face a challenging round of golf on a course built for the more experienced golfer.

Originally designed by Tom Bendelow, the course lay-out was later amended by British Open winner of 1887, the esteemed Willie Park Jr. The parkland course has a Scottish feel in design with several hazards to provide challenging rounds of golfing – with special emphasis on the 9th and 15th holes which call for precision tee-offs to ensure completion of the long holes.

It is a private club which offers the following to the discerning sportsman:

  • 9 hole course
  • 18 hole course
  • Club facilities
  • Practice facilities
  • Pro shop
  • Fine dining
  • Banquets
  • Conference facilities
  • Club membership
  • Junior golfer program.
