PAM GOLDING LADIES INTERNATIONAL 11 March 2008 – At the Nelspruit Golf Club on Saturday, the title victory of the Pam Golding Ladies International golf tournament was taken by none other than the South African Stacy Bregman.
Bregman lead the tournament from its start, shooting four straight birdies on the first four holes, and continued to show great play till her final round of 71, 8-under-par, for the 54 hole event. "I've had a really great tour, and with today's win, I'm very excited about next week's Telkom Women's Classic at Zwartkop Country Club," Bregman said. Sharing second position was Morgana Robbertze from South Africa and Lisa Holm Sorensen from Denmark, both with final rounds of 71, finishing on 3-under-par. Margherita Rigon from Italy took the best round of the day, with a final score of 70. The leading amateur title went to Tandi Cuningham, who lead the rest of the amateur pack the whole way, finally closing the tournament on +8 over. |
