CAYEUX: MAKING A NAME FOR HIMSELF It has been just three days since the Zimbabwean Marc Cayeux had taken the victory for the Nashua Masters, and it seems as though he is to do it again, this time at the Africa Open held at the Fish River Sun Country Club. If Caquex pulls this off, it will be his 10th victory on the Sunshine Tour.
Caquex currently stands tied in the lead with Jake Roos with a seven-under-par 65. This is a two shot lead which stands above the likes of players such as Deane Pappas, Grant Muller, Desvonde Botes, Brett Liddle, and Jaco Ahlers, who are all tied at five-under. Cayeux, commenting on his recent victory and current outstanding play on the opening day of this tournament, ”I said on Sunday that I was going to celebrate my win, drive down here and take it easy this week”. ”Funny how things don’t always do your way”. Continuing, Cayeux said, “I’m glad I could carry the form to the Fish River; this is a tough layout and it demands concentration and planning. But I think, having not put myself under pressure, it kind of flowed for me today”. |
