A MOTIVATED ELS SET OUT TO CHALLENGE WOODS

29 January 2008 - It will be at the Dubai Desert Classic, to be held this week, that a highly motivated Ernie Els will set out to challenge the current world number one Tiger Woods.

This will be the first opportunity for Els to face Woods.  

Els is constantly on the search for ways in which to challenge and push himself, and finds that this will be the best possible way in which for him to do so, setting his core goal as that of chasing the great Woods, and finally close the gap between the two of them.

Els has commented that he is very excited and most definitely looking forward to the upcoming season. “With Tiger already winning his first event by eight shots,” Els said,”it should be an exciting one”

Ernie Els has just recently inaugurated his new golf course; a 7 538-yard links-style 18-hole golf course that is located in Dubai Sports City, the $3.7bn sports and residential complex under construction in the desert.
