ELS PREPARES FOR MASTERS IN THE US

With 2 tournaments already done this year, both giving to Ernie Els positions in the top 10, this South African golfing legend is now to turn all his efforts onto The Masters at Augusta, scheduled for April 2008.

Even though Els has played well, there are plenty elements to his game which need to be focused on for improvement.

After a disappointing loss against Tiger Woods at the Dubai Desert Classic, where Els ended up tieing for third, Els will now be focusing all his energy onto the up-and-coming Masters tournament to be played at Augusta in the United States.

After taking a two week break, Els’ next challenge will be the Honda Classic Tournament at Palm Beach Gardens in Florida, commencing on the 28 February 2008.

To his name, Els holds approximately 50 victories. This includes 3 majors – one British Open, and two Us Opens; and Els’ next goal, before retirement, is to make this four.

"It's important I do everything in my power to make that goal achievable," he said.
