At Gailes, on the Ayrshire coast, the Glasgow Golf Club has a challenging links golf course. The golf course was designed by Willie Park Jnr in 1912 and the golf club is naturally proud of the fact that it is chosen regularly by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club as a final qualifying course for the Golf Open Championship.
